White Oak
Hard, open-grained and pale. It darkens slightly to a honey tone over the years.
- Wipe with a damp, well-wrung cloth, then dry.
- Re-oil once a year, or when the surface looks dry.
- Use coasters; the open grain can take water rings.
Care guide
Solid wood is alive: it moves with humidity and mellows with light. A little care keeps it beautiful for generations, and any scratch can be sanded out and refinished.
Avoid harsh cleaners
No ammonia, silicone sprays or microfibre soaked in soap. Water and a soft cloth are enough.
Mind the climate
Keep humidity between 40–60%. Sudden heat or AC can cause small cracks.
Lift, don't drag
Dragging stresses the joints. Use felt pads under the legs.
Hot and wet
Always use coasters and trivets. Wipe spills straight away, along the grain.
White Oak
Hard, open-grained and pale. It darkens slightly to a honey tone over the years.
Teak
Rich in natural oils, so it resists moisture and suits Indian monsoons well.
Walnut
Dense and chocolate-toned, with a fine grain that lightens gently in sunlight.
Sheesham
Indian rosewood: tough, warm-toned and strongly figured.
Oat Linen
Vacuum weekly with a brush head. Covers are removable — dry clean or cold wash, and iron while slightly damp.
Ivory Bouclé
Vacuum gently; don't pull loops. Blot spills right away with a dry cloth and use professional cleaning for stains.
Olive Wool
Naturally stain-resistant. Brush to lift dust, blot spills, and air the cushions now and then.
Cognac Leather
Dust with a dry cloth, condition every 6 months and keep out of direct sun. It develops a patina — that's part of the charm.
